I was using the bodybuilder angle as a reference.
What I mean by heavy legwork and stances, is that if you go from say, 15 minutes of Sei pin ma each day, and suddenly double or triple it several days in a row, it might be a shock for the system. I am by no means a physical therapeut or even much worth in Hung Gar, but I do know about pain and hard brutal strain on the body. Having ridden a bicycle in a hostile environment where you have to push it or get sideswiped or run over you learn the cost of pushing too hard too fast. If I had pushed as hard and fast in the beginning as I could do at the end, I would have collapsed and most likely done more damage to my joints because they weren't ready for it. _________________ Here's to cheating, stealing, fighting, and drinking.
