@ PM
Lol! Totally not trying to start a great hung gar debate about who is who'se sifu. I don't know alot about Chang Hon Chung, the only thing I really have heard was Sigung say he was pretty good and a nice guy. |

I spent at least one month per year in Chan Hon Chung's gymn from 1977 to his death. He always referred to Lam Sai Wing as his master. When he taught me he often mentioned some details as "Lam Sai Wing said this" and "Lam Sai Wing did it so". He never mentioned anybody else as an influence.
I try to explain how I see the story starting from my experience.
At least 75% of what I know comes from my si-hing Cheung Yee Keung. It's normal. Master Chan was a busy man, with lots of patients and students.
In fact being his student was more in being in his place, following his pace, eating at his table, knowing he was in the near room, grabbing a movement when he entered the gymn, rather than learning the sequences (in fact in his late years he forgot parts of the sequences).
But - on the other hand - master Chan considered Cheung Yee Keung as his best student ever, so whatever Cheung Yee Keung did, that was allright for master Chan. In fact, learning from CYK was exactly like learning from a young Chan Hon Chung. I hope I am clear enough.
In other words. Cheung Yee Keung is the best si-hing I could have and I learned a lot from him. But if somebody asks me "who's your master", I reply "Chan Hon Chung", because I feel I had learned Chinese kung fu from Chan Hon Chung, and I did, in spite of the fact that my daily training was with Cheung Yee Keung or Kong Pui Wai or Seto Wing or Fung Kyu or other dear si-hings.
I am sure master Chan had a si-hing, too
This is how I see the story. _________________ alberto |

I had the opportunity to meet Master Lee Yun Fook in 2007, when I returned to Hong Kong. I met one of his disciples, Italy has a lion dance competition, who lived in the house of learning Hung Kuen him. Introduced me to master, and the next day, I came today running of education as a high school boy and lion dancers. Master Yun Fook Lee is a very humble man, even though I told him that I am practically online Lam Jo, have shared a lot of theories and knowledge of Hung Gar for me. great debates were with him and his disciples. _________________ christian louboutin |
