|
|
Hello All,
Argh, blackout on a move in FHSYK's opening.... Anyone an tell me the short name of the following move?
Long name is something like "A side wind gust swings a willow".
I'm looking for the short name, like "geng sao" not "pretty lady looks in the mirror".
Thanks a bunch! _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Haha, ok thanks Always heard it being referred to as geng sao...
When I read you type got sau it came back in my memory also, but I have been thinking about the name for like 2 days and it simply wouldn't float back up, very annoying...
Have a good weekend! _________________ Pain is weakness leaving the body.

I like "Chau Pek Jeung/ Curl Chopping Palm, and "Got Jeung/ Cutting Palm", or "Chau" and "Got" for short...
Flowery prose may contain philosophical concepts of value, but single-syllable, practically emphasized terminology makes for better drill commands, where honing one's intention for the development of greater reactivity and explosiveness is desireable!
Best,

wind sways the willow describes not only the movement but the quality of energy used, and the bridge connected to the body. Cutting the opponent's power, absorbing, swallowing, coiling. One of the "secrets" of the short bridging technique. _________________ 'My Gung-Fu is MY Gung-Fu. It may not be YOUR Gung-Fu"
