Ong Bak 2 used hung gar and now I hear that Yip Man 2 will have a duel between Yip Man vs a Hung Gar master (played by Sammo Hung)..did yip man ever had a match with a hung kuen master ?
If not in my opinion they should use a fictional character and not a real person..I heard from some sources that Sammo Hung is going to act as a real hung kuen master... cant reveal the name though...
Also it looks like that my sigung is going to shoot his last film together with his brother Lau Kar Wing...

hmmm, Sammo Hung portraying a real Hung-Ga Master? Can't imagine who that could possibly be. Who do we know of who was big, famous, and did Hung-Ga? I'm also betting he was a pig butcher... _________________ 'My Gung-Fu is MY Gung-Fu. It may not be YOUR Gung-Fu"

OH MY GOD!!! THAT IS SO AMAZING!!! UGH!! I WANNA SEE IT!!!
I know....TT just what you mean, think he liked to use cleavers? lol I wonder though, if it....him.....lol how would they make the fights? Would one of them lose? Or would it be a tie? Since both of the guys are legendary, they might make it a tie to keep from ticking off audience members. Hhhmmmmm.... _________________ Martial Arts + Tokusatsu = Godditude |

I've never heard of such a fight, neither do the Wing Chun schools here. There was a lot of fuzz between Yip Man's student and some Choy Lee Fut, if I remember correctly.
But hee, in the movie they can do anything, right?
It would be an easy way for Wing Chun to put themself over such a great style as Hung.
In the old times this would be a real nice way for a challenge and Hung schools would object and if necessary fight.
So Franky, since you started, you're gonna offer the Director an petition and then beat him him up? hahahahahahah
Unless, they use the name of a student named Lam. Can you pm' me the address of the Director then? lol
Well, it won't be logic to take the name of a still living student of Lam Sai Wing, so they probably take the name of a student that was famous and alreay passed away a long time ago. Let me think, lau? LMAO
I think they really want to make Yip Man a folk hero such as happened with Wong Fei Hung. Did wong Fei Hung in the movies ever fight a Wing Chun guy, so they want revenge now? |

..YipMan is on a filmset maybe to get a job as a stuntman,on the set is a hung kuen master with whom he gonna have a match..
according to Donnie Yen they gonna give hung kuen the due respect..
even if its fictional but if they use a real person its not good, specially for the ones that follow this master..and this master was known for being a good fighter..and he was very strong
Chunyat, i cant reveal the name..wouldnt be fair towards the person i got the info from..
aber du hast den richtigen gedanken... |

Franky, I read the announcement of hung kuen in Yip Man 2 at a Dutch kungfu movies board. My reaction was the same as yours, whomever they take, it's not good.
Personally I think maybe we should even consider all taking an announcement on our websites to show others shouldn't touch hung, b/c even though we sometimes have our family differences we all are still one family. |

Hehe,I heard that the Lau Jaam idea is cancelled...hmmm how comes ?
anyway, the idea remains that yip man will fight a hung kuen master...heres the short story line, according to Bey Logan they will traet hung kuen with respect...we shall see
| Quote: | Huang Xiao Ming will join the film as Sammo Hung's disciple, while, this time around, To Yu Hang returns and takes on another role - Donnie Yen's disciple. The dispute between the disciples of Hung Gar and Wing Chun leads to their masters' eventual confrontation.

I have seen a clip on youtube with Gordon Liu facing his neighbor, a Wing Chun guy. They finally go outside to square off, and it's done both in a funny and pretty even way so neither of them dominates, and they end up wore out on the grass.

If the fight between WT and HG is done in a way that doesn't diss either of the styles, I wouldn't mind seeing it. _________________ Here's to cheating, stealing, fighting, and drinking.
